DATE: June 22, 2001
SUBJECT: City Council Meeting — June 28, 2001
ITEM:
*11.A.1. Consider an ordinance designating the intersection of Hester's
Crossing Boulevard and Rawhide Drive as an all -way stop
intersection. (Second Reading)
Resource: Jim Nuse, Public Works Director
Tom Word, Traffic Engineer
History: Citizens living in the apartment neighborhood and those exiting the shopping
center have requested consideration of a traffic signal at this intersection. Our
study and evaluation confirms the need for this at this location but in the mean
time an all way stop should be installed for the safety of the citizens using the
intersection until a traffic signal can be installed. The first reading of the
ordinance was approved on June 14, 2001.
Funding:
Cost: $200
Source of funds: Operating Budget
