AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE BY
DESIGNATING THE FOLLOWING INTERSECTIONS AS STOP
INTERSECTIONS: VIA SONOMA TRAIL AT GATTIS SCHOOL ROAD,
SOLITUDE COVE AT CHALK HILL COVE, CHALK HILL COVE AT
VIA SONOMA TRAIL, BUENA VISTA LANE AT VIA SONOMA TRAIL
(SOUTHEAST INTERSECTION), BUENA VISTA LANE AT VIA
SONOMA TRAIL (NORTHWEST INTERSECTION), BANDERA PATH
AT BUENA VISTA LANE (SOUTHEAST INTERSECTION), BANDERA
PATH AT BUENA VISTA LANE (NORTHWEST INTERSECTION),
BANDERA COVE AT BANDERA PATH; PROVIDING FOR A
SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES
OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS:
I.
That pursuant to Section 9.800, Code of Ordinances (1995
Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, the below described
intersections are hereby designated as stop intersections with stop
signs to be erected as follows:

II.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written
notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which
this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which
this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed,
considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open

Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and
the Act.
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

RE: Sonoma Section 1— Subdivision Acceptance
Dear Ms. Messaro:
This letter is written in regard to the public works improvements constructed in conjunction
with the above referenced subdivision. This is a 31 single-family lot subdivision and your
engineer estimated the cost of the improvements at $895,708.31.
These improvements have been completed in accordance with the City of Round Rock
specifications and code, as certified by your engineer, and we are in receipt of your affidavit
stating that the work has been completed in compliance with the applicable provisions of the
code, with your request the improvements be accepted by the City of Round Rock. This letter
shall constitute the formal acceptance of the subdivision water, wastewater, street and
drainage for maintenance by the City of Round Rock.
Accordingly, the warranty period for these improvements will extend as follows:
Water, Wastewater, Drainage, Revegetation and Erosion Control -11/13/2001
Streets -11/13/2002
It is worthy of note that fiscal for the uncompleted fencing and sidewalk improvements is in our
possession and you have committed to the completion of the sidewalks by 12/31/00 and the
fencing must be completed within 90 days of the date of this letter.

* 12.B.1. Consider an ordinance authorizing the placement of stop
signs in the Sonoma Section 1 &2 Subdivisions at various
street intersections. (Second Reading) The stop signs will be
placed at the following intersections: Via Sonoma Trail at Gattis
School Road, Solitude Cove at Chalk Hill Cove, Chalk Hill
Cove at Via Sonoma Trail, Buena Vista Lane at Via Sonoma
Trail (Southeast Intersection), Buena Vista Lane at Via Sonoma
Trail (Northwest Intersection), Bandera Path at Buena Vista
Lane (Southeast Intersection), Bandera Path at Buena Vista
Lane (Northwest Intersection), Bandera Cove at Bandera Path.
The first reading of the ordinance was approved on April 26,
2001.

History: Several new subdivisions have been completed and accepted by the City. This
ordinance will authorize the stop signs located on the segments of streets
recently accepted by the City.

Impact: Traffic control devices provided by developers as required by City Ordinances.
