AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES (1995
EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, CHAPTER 3, SECTION
3.103 TO ADOPT THE 2000 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL
RESIDENTIAL CODE FOR ONE- AND TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS;
MAKING REVISIONS THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS
CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR
RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
I.
That Chapter 3, Section 3.103, Code of Ordinances (1995
Edition), City of Round Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.103 INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE FOR ONE- AND TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS
ADOPTED
The International Residential Code for One- and Two -Family Dwellings, 2000 Edition, one (1)
copy of which shall be placed on file in the office of the city secretary of the City of Round Rock,
Texas, is hereby adopted by reference and all regulations, parts, notations, references, and
specifications therein are hereby adopted and made a part of this section except as deleted or
amended hereafter.
II.
That the following section of the International Residential
Code for One- and Two -Family Dwellings, 2000 Edition, is hereby
revised as follows:
Section R101.1: Insert "City of Round Rock, Texas."
III.
That the following section of the International Residential
Code for One- and Two -Family Dwellings, 2000 Edition, is hereby
revised as follows:

All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written
notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which
this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which
this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed,
considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open
Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and
the Act.

13.D.2. Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 3, Section 3.103 of
the Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition) to adopt the 2000
Edition of the International Residential Code for One and
Two Family Dwellings, and making minor revisions thereto.
(Second Reading) Life -safety codes that we enforce change on
a yearly basis. Then every 3 years, these changes are
incorporated into text and the updated code is presented for
adoption. The first reading of the ordinance was approved on
March 22, 2001.
