G-00-01-27-12B1 - 1/27/2000ORDINANCE NO. v - 00- 0/ 47- 7- J / AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, SECTION 6.615, CODE OF ORDINANCES (1995 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, BY AMENDING THE GARBAGE COLLECTION SERVICE CHARGES; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT: I. That Chapter 6, Section 6.615(1) (b), Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock is hereby amended to read as follows: (1) Residential (b) The residential sanitation charge for the collection of refuse and for recycling services shall be $11.06 per month. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open K:\WPDOCS\ORDINANC\000113B1.WPD/sC Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. (Second Reading) The purpose of the increased rate is to offset costs of providing the residential garbage collection service. The proposed rate is $11.06 per household per month and includes twice a week garbage collection. The first reading of the ordinance was approved on January 13, 2000.
