G-00-01-13-9E1 - 1/13/2000ORDINANCE NO. - UU - 0 / - 13- 9E AN ORDINANCE RESCHEDULING THE FIRST REGULAR FEBRUARY MEETING OF THE ROUND ROCK CITY COUNCIL FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY, 2000; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. WHEREAS, the first regularly scheduled February meeting (February 10, 2000) of the Round Rock City Council falls on the same day as the Texas Department of Transportation's public hearing on SH -130, and WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Round Rock requires that the City Council hold at least two regular meetings each month and as many additional meetings as it deems necessary to transact the business of the City and its citizens and the City Council has, pursuant to the Charter directions, set the second and fourth Thursdays of each month as the two regular monthly meetings, and WHEREAS, in order to allow the City Council to attend the Texas Department of Transportation's public hearing on SH 130, the Council deems it necessary to reschedule the second regularly scheduled meeting for the month of February, 2000, Now Therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: K:\WPDOCS\ORDINANC\000113E1.WPD/SC I. That the first regularly scheduled meeting for the month of February, 2000, is hereby rescheduled to the 8th of February, 2000 at 7:00 P.M. II. That this Ordinance is effective for the year of 2000 only. EU. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. 2. Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
