WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for
the 2006 Street Maintenance Program, and
WHEREAS, while only one bid was received from Cutler Repaving,
Inc., the City Council has determined that the bid is acceptable, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Cutler
Repaving, Inc., Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with Cutler Repaving, Inc. for the 2006
Street Maintenance Program.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended.

ITEM: 11.C.1. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a
contract for the 2006 Street Maintenance Program with Cutler
Repaving, Inc.
Department: Transportation Services
Staff Person: Thomas G. Martin, P. E., Director of Transportation Services
Justification:
The City received one bid for the project on October 24. Cutler Repaving, Inc. was the only
bidder. After reviewing the bid, staff recommends the award of the bid.
Funding:
Cost: $1,669,482.50
Source of funds: General Self -Financed Construction and Street Maintenance Program
Outside Resources: N/A
Background Information:
This contract will encompass Gattis School Road, High Country Blvd., Double Creek,
Greenlawn Extension and University Blvd. This project will introduce in-place pavement
recycling. The staff's estimated cost for this project was $1,793,095.
