G-98-12-22-9B1 - 12/22/1998ORDINANCE NO. - 0 a- a -Q6 I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.01.01 OF THE PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS CONCERNING THE OBSERVANCE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.'S BIRTHDAY; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I. That Section 9.01.01 of the Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual of the City of Round Rock, Texas, dated December 9, 1993, is hereby amended to read as follows: 9.01.01 The following normally are observed as paid holidays for regular non -police, non - firefighting employees who work at least 20 hours per week: New Year's Day Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday President's Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Veteran's Day Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following Thanksgiving Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; or, when Christmas Day falls on a Thursday, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. Consider an ordinance amending the Personnel Policies and Procedures to designate Martin Luther King's Birthday as a City holiday. (First Reading) The City currently has 10 paid holidays.
