AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.502, CODE
OF ORDINANCES (1995 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
CONCERNING THE SPEED ZONES ON HIGH COUNTRY
BOULEVARD; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS:
I,
That Chapter 9, Section 9.502(7), of the Code of Ordinances
(1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, (The maximum prima facie
speed limit shall be forty five (45) miles per hour along the
following streets:) is hereby amended by adding the following:
ON FROM TO
High Country Boulevard Gattis School Road
north and southbound
City Limits (0.402
miles south of Gattis
School Road)
II.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written
notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which
this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which
this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed,

considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open
Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and
the Act.

Country Boulevard from the Round Rock city limit located 0.402
miles south of Gattis School Road to Gattis School Road. (Second
Reading)
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Jim Nuse
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
An engineering study of the speed zones on High Country Boulevard from Round Rock
City limit located 0.402 miles south of Gattis School Road to Gattis School Road has
been completed. The results of the study indicates that the posted speed limits should
be established at 45 mph. Staff recommendations for speed zoning on this section of
road are summarized as follows:
High Country Boulevard from the Round Rock City limit located
0.402 miles south of Gattis School Road to Gattis School Road 45 mph
Staff recommends approval.
