" q 6," 08-021-q AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.503, CODE OF ORDINANCES (1995 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS; TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF RED BUD LANE (COUNTY ROAD 122) AS A SCHOOL ZONE CONTROLLED BY FLASHING LIGHTS; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I. That Chapter 9, Section 9.503, of the Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended by creating subparagraph (6), designating a portion of Red Bud Lane (County Road 122) as a school shall read as follows: (6) zone controlled by flashing lights, which When a sign is posted with a flashing light giving notice thereof, the maximum speed limit shall be thirty (30) miles per hour when flashing, upon those streets or portions of streets as follows: ON FROM Red Bud Lane (County Road 122) A. A point 500' south of its intersection with with Forest Creek Drive II. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, TO A point 500' north of its intersection with Forest Creek Drive or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. (Second Reading) Staff Resource Person: Joe Vining Staff Recommendation: Approval The attached ordinance establishes a school zone speed limit which has been requested by the School District. This zone will be identified by flashing lights at points 500' north and south of Forest Creek Drive on Red Bud Lane.
