AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR TWO PUBLIC
HEARINGS TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON THE
PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, TO WIT: 9.05 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE
SAMUEL JENKINS SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 347, WILLIAMSON
COUNTY; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
I.
On the 21st day of May, 1996, at 6:00 o'clock P.M. in the City
Council Chambers, City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to
appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round
Rock, Texas, of 9.05 acres of land out of the Samuel Jenkins Survey,
Abstract No. 347 in Williamson County, ("the Property,") more
particularly described in Exhibit "A".
On the 23rd day of May, 1996, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City
Council Chambers, City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will
hold a second public hearing giving all interested persons the right
to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round
Rock, Texas, of the Property.
II.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to publish
notice of said public hearings in the official newspaper in accordance
with §43.052, Local Government Code.

III.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance
shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote
of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this
ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

FIELD NOTES FOR 9.05 ACRES
BEING 9.05 acres of land out of the SAMUEL JENKINS SURVEY, ABSTRACT
NO. 347, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, and being a part ofthat certain 126.68
acre tract of land described in a deed to William R. Kitts recorded in Volume 1561
at Page 663, Official Records, Williamson County, Texas, and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING at an iron rod found at the southeast corner hereof in the north line of
Ligh Country Blvd., said iron rod also being the southwest comer of Lot 39, Block
E, High Country Section One, a subdivision ofrecord filed in Cabinet J, Slide 29, Plat
Records of Williamson County;
THENCE along and with the north line of High Country Blvd., the following
described two (2) courses and distances to iron rods found:
1) An arc distance of 73.30 feet with a curve to the right, curve having a central
angle of 30 31' 42", a radius of 1190.37 feet, a chord distance of 73.29 feet
and a chord bearing of S 62° 21' 39" W, and;
2) S 64° 07' 30" W a distance of 760.19 feet to the southwest corner hereof;
THENCE with the west line hereof; the following described five courses and distances
to iron rods found:
1) N 11° 31' 50" W a distance of 27.36 feet;
2) N 09° 33' 48" E a distance of 565.10 feet;
3) S 89° 46' 24" E a distance of 300.04 feet;
4) N 00° 15' 35" E a distance of 799.91 feet;
5) N 39° 26' 21" E a distance of 93.81 feet to an iron rod found in the
west line of said High Country Section One;
THENCE with the west line of said High Country Section One, the following
described four (4) courses and distances to iron rods found:
1) S 10° 43' 12" E a distance of 281.75 feet;
2) S 15° 13' 45" E a distance of 151.77 feet;
3) S 10° 43' 12" E a distance of 463.62 feet; and;
4) S 29° 24' 12" E a distance of 241.80 feet to the Place of Beginning,
containing 9.05 acres of land;
TO THE MAYOR AND GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
The undersigned owners of the hereinafter described tract of land, which is
vacant and without residents, or on which less than three (3) qualified voters
reside, hereby petition your Honorable Body to extend the present city limits so
as to include as a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, the following described
territory, to -wit:
9.05 acres of land out of the Samuel Jenkins Survey A-347 (See Exhibit "A")
We hereby certify, under oath, that:

and
WE ARE THE TRUE AND ONLY OWNERS OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED TRACT OF
LAND and as evidence thereof we have attached as Exhibit "B" a true
current copy of the Warranty Deed whereby se acquired said property,
and
(2) the above described tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the
current city limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas.

The purpose of this annexation is to facilitate the development of a 31
standard lot single family development, which is located on the south side of
Gattis School Road and it is between High Country Section One and Bradford
park Section two, both of which are also SF -2 subdivisions. Public hearings
will be held on May 21, 1996 at 6:00 (special called) and on May 23, 1996 at the
regular meeting.
A timetable for the annexation and zoning process is attached.
