AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES (1995
EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, CHAPTER 3, SECTION
3.103 TO ADOPT THE 1995 EDITION OF THE COUNCIL OF
AMERICAN BUILDING OFFICIALS ONE AND TWO FAMILY
DWELLING CODE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
I.
That Chapter 3, Section 3.103, Code of Ordinances (1995
Edition), City of Round Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.103 CABO ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLING CODE ADOPTED
The council of American Building Official (CABO) One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1995
Edition, one (1) copy of which shall be placed on file in the office of the city secretary of the
City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby adopted by reference and all regulations, parts, notations,
references, and specifications therein are hereby adopted and made a part of this section except
as deleted or amended hereafter.
II.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Every 3 years, the CABO one and two family dwelling code publishes the updated
version. Staff asks the Council to consider adopting the 1995 CABO. Presentation was
made at the last Council meeting.
