AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.1700, CODE
OF ORDINANCES (1990 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS;
MAKING CERTAIN ADDITIONS TO SAID SECTION; THEREBY
DECLARING IT UNLAWFUL TO DRIVE OR OPERATE A TRUCK ON
HARRELL PARKWAY AND ATEN LOOP WITHIN OLD SETTLERS
PARK AT PALM VALLEY; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE
AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, THAT:
I.
That Chapter 9, Section 9.1700, Code of Ordinances (1990
Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended by adding
the following:

III.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

ITEM: 9.A. Consider an ordinance prohibiting "no through
truck traffic" in Old Settlers Park at Palm
Valley. (Second Reading).
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Sharon Prete
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval
Staff recommends that we prohibit Targe trucks
from using Old Settlers Park at Palm Valley
roads as a short cut from County Road 113 to
Highway 79.
No changes have been made to this ordinance
since 9/22/94 reading.
ECONOMIC IMPACT:
The cost of installing signs will more than likely
be off -set by fines issued to the offenders.
