DATE: September 20, 1994
SUBJECT: City Council Meeting, September 22, 1994
ITEM: 9.G. Consider an ordinance designating the intersection of
Fannin Avenue and Lampasas Street as a stop sign
intersection. (Second Reading)
Staff Resource Person: Joe Vining
Staff Recommendation: Approval
Fannin Avenue terminates in a 90° angle at Lampasas Street. Currently, a
yield sign on Milam Avenue cautions drivers to beware of traffic on
Lampasas Street. A stop sign on Fannin Avenue at Lampasas will create a
safer intersection by emphasizing a mandatory stop for motorists on Fannin
Avenue.
Economic Impact: The cost of installing the stop sign.
