(First Reading) STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joanne Land STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Last year when the Council created the Advisory Board for the Aging a sunset provision was put in place in order to allow the Council the opportunity to review the Board after a year of being in existence. The Board is aware of the sunset provision and discussed it during their May meeting. The Advisory Board for the Aging respectfully requests that the Council consider extending the Board for another year. They are in the process of discussing various options concerning their duties and responsibilities and would appreciate the opportunity to make some recommendations to the Council later this year. Staff concurs with the Boards request. The attached ordinance extends the Advisory Board for the Aging.
