AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE DEMOLITION OF A CERTAIN
BUILDING OR STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 14 CHISHOLM TRAIL
ROAD, ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER
3, SECTION 3.300, UNSAFE BUILDING ABATEMENT CODE, CODE
OF ORDINANCES, 1990 EDITION, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
I.
That a Public Hearing was held on November 9, 1993, in
accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3, Section 3.300, Unsafe
Building Abatement Code, Code of Ordinances, 1990 Edition, City of
Round Rock, Texas, to determine whether or not a certain structure
or structures located at 14 Chisholm Trail Road, Round Rock, Texas,
are unsafe under the provisions of said Code.
II.
That the City Council upon consideration of the testimony and
exhibits received in evidence has found that the structure located
at the above-described address is unsafe for the following reasons:
A. The building or structure is manifestly unsafe or
unsanitary for the purpose for which it is being used.
B. The building, structure or portion thereof, as a result
of decay, deterioration or dilapidation is likely to
fully or partially collapse.
C. The building, structure or portion thereof is in such a
condition as to constitute a public nuisance.
D. The building, structure or portion thereof is:
1. unsafe or unsanitary;
2. constitutes a fire hazard;

3. dangerous to human life, in relation to existing
use, and constitutes a hazard to safety or health
by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation,
obsolescence or abandonment.
It is hereby ordered that the structure or structures located
at the above-described location be demolished within thirty days
after the final passage of this Ordinance.
IV.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Since the last Council Meeting there has been no contact with the property owner. Staff
recommends demolition of the buildings or structures at the above -referenced property.
