ORDINANCE NO. a_ qL f - 0 _ 13 ` ER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.1817(1), CODE OF ORDINANCES (1990 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS; TO LIMIT THE TIME OF PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF WESTWOOD DRIVE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I. That Section 9.1817(1), Code of Ordinances (1990 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows: 9.1817 PARKING TIME LIMITED ON CERTAIN STREETS (1) Two (2) Hour Limit Zones (a) When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle for a period of time longer than two (2) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. of any day except Sundays and public holidays within the district or upon any of the streets or parts of streets as follows: On Main Street from Mays Street to Sheppard Street. (b) When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle for a period of time longer than two (2) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. of any day except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays upon any of the streets or parts of streets as follows: On both sides of Westwood Drive. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. KS/ORDINANCE OR12233B B. (Second Reading) STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval The purpose of this ordinance is to improve fire safety along a standard paving width (Westwood Drive) which is regularly congested by high school - related °- street parking. speciically, this measure would limit parking on Westwood Drive to two hours on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
