AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.503, CODE OF ORDINANCES (1990 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS TO CHANGE THE FEES FOR THE INSPECTION OF FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS BY THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, I. That Section 6.503, Code of Ordinances (1990 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows: 6.503 PERMIT FEES Every person who may desire to operate a food establishment in the City of Round Rock, Texas, shall make application to the Williamson County Health Department, upon forms prescribed and furnished by the Williamson County Health Department for a permit. Upon filing of such application, the health official shall make or cause to be made an inspection of the premises and if the conduct of such business comes within the requirements of this section, the health official shall approve said application; whereupon, the applicant shall pay to the Williamson County Health Department a fee based on the following formula: Number of Employees Permit Fee 0-3 $ 60.00 4-9 90.00 10-14 125.00 15-21 150.00 22 or more 200.00 If the application is for a mobile food establishment, the permit fee shall be $85.00. If the application is for a day care center, the permit fee shall be $60.00. If an application is made after the first day of July of any calendar year, the application fee shall be reduced by fifty (50) percent. After payment of said fees, applicant shall receive a permit in writing for the operation of the food establishment. Every such permit shall be nontransferable, shall permit the operation of a food KS/ORDINANCE OR1014E2 establishment only at the location for which granted and shall expire at midnight on the 31st day of December of the calendar year in which the permit is issued. Such permit shall be posted in a conspicuous place in the food service area of the food establishment at all times. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. E. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. READ and APPROVED on first reading this the 1 day of , 1993.
