AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, SECTION 1.1700, CODE OF
ORDINANCES (1990 EDITION), TO REVISE FEES FOR PARK AND
RECREATION FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
I.
That Chapter 1, Section 1.1703, Code of Ordinances (1990
Edition), City of Round Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
1.1703 FACILITY/EQUIPMENT RENTAL

Resident individuals, clubs, organizations, groups, or
firms may rent parks and recreation facilities for
special functions, when available, for a fee as
follows:
Pavilions:
Neighborhood parks
Old Settlers Park
at Palm Valley
Recreation Centers*
Municipal Pool
50 people or less
51 - 75 people
76 - 100 people
101 or more people
Recreation Kit
Sports Field
Resident
Non -Resident
Concession Stand
$ 25.00 per function
$ 75.00 per function
$150.00 minimum for up to four
(4) hours; $15.00 extra for
each additional hour
$ 85.00 per function
$ 95.00 per function
$120.00 per function
$150.00 per function
$ 10.00 per function
$ 50.00 per field per day
$ 75.00 per field per day
$ 20.00 per day
Non -city residents shall be charged an additional
twenty-five dollar ($25.00) fee.
II.
That Chapter 1, Section 1.1704, Code of Ordinances (1990
Edition), City of Round Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
1.1704 ROUND ROCK COMMUNITY CENTER RENTAL
(1)
Service clubs and civic organization may rent the Round
Rock Community Center, when available, for a fee as
follows:
Meetings $ 5.00 per function
Socials $ 50.00 per function
(2) Nonprofit organizations, groups or firms may rent the
Round Rock Community Center, when available, for a fee
as follows:

Meetings $ 25.00 per function
Socials $ 75.00 per function
Private individuals or groups may rent the Round Rock
Community Center, when available, for a fee as follows:
Meetings $ 50.00 per function
Socials $150.00 minimum for up to four
(4) hours; $15.00 extra for
each additional hour.
(4) An individual, group or organization may rent the Round
Rock Community Center for money making or fund raising
purposes, when available, at the rate of $125.00 per
day.
(5)
As used herein, the term "meeting" means a function
whereby the primary purpose is to conduct the business
affairs of the organization. As used herein, the term
"social" means a function whereby the primary purpose
is for entertainment.
That Chapter 1, Section 1.1705, Code of Ordinances (1990
Edition), City of Round Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
1.1705 SPORTS FACILITY LIGHT FEE
Individuals, clubs, organization, groups or firms, other
than youth sports associations, shall be charged eight dollars ($8.00)
per hour that sports facility lights are used for organized
activities.

A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance
shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.!!

PARD recommends that the following fees be increased:
1. Park/Park Area
- Neighborhood/Community
- Old Settlers Park at Palm Valley
2. Recreation Centers
- $150 (4 Hour Minimum)
- $15 per Additional Hour

3. Municipal Pool Parties
- 50 People or Less $85
- 51-75 People $95
- 76-100 People $120
101-150 People $150
4. Non -city residents shall be charged an additional $25
fee when reserving a facility.
5. Sports Facility Light Fee
Individual associations or groups are to be charged
$8.00 per hour that they use sports field lights.
ECONOMIC IMPACT:
The increases reflect the cost of providing the services.
