A571/45. - AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE INTERSECTION OF OAK PARK DRIVE AND CLEARWATER AS A STOP INTERSECTION BY ADDING STOP SIGNS ON OAK PARK DRIVE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I. That pursuant to Section 9.800, Code of Ordinances, (1990 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, the following described intersection is hereby designated a stop intersection with stop signs to be erected as follows: ON AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH Oak Park Drive Clearwater Drive (northbound and southbound) II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. Consider an ordinance amending the Traffic Code by designating the intersection of Oak Park Drive and Clearwater Drive as a stop intersection. (Second Reading) RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval Oak Park Drive intersects Clearwater Drive. Because Clearwater represents an important link between Oakwood Boulevard and Oaklands Drive this proposal would stop Oak Park in favor of Clearwater in order to eliminate motorist confusion at this location. Economic Impact: Installation and maintenance of traffic signs; police patrol as required.
