ITEM: 8B. Consider an Ordinance amending the Brush collection
Regulations. (second reading)
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Jim Nuse
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
On December 12, 1991, a presentation regarding the need to increase the brush pick-up
fees. The current fee of $5.00 per 10 minutes does not nearly cover costs. This increase while
not entirely cover costs but will help offset the operation loss and still allow citizens access to
affordable brush collection. Staff believes this service deters "illegal" dumping in sparsely
developed sub -divisions, vacant land, and city right's of way.
