O-73-221A - 12/6/1973ORDINANCE NO. 221A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PORTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 221 PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON JANUARY 23, 1964. At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, on the 6 day of DECEMBER , 1974, the following ordinance amending Ordinance No. 221 of the City of Round Rock, Texas, was submitted as follows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 221, ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RATES FOR CITY'S WATER WORKS AND SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM, BY: AMENDING SECTION 2 OF SAID ORDINANCE BY REDRAFTING THE ENTIRE SECTION 2 TO READ AS FOLLOWS: " SECTION 2: That hereafter the rate schedule for residential and commercial users of the City' s Sanitary Sewer System will be based on the water consumption of each residence or commercial users and not based upon a per fixture basis. Any residence, rent house, duplex or apartment complex in which people do not temporarily reside is to be considered a residential user. Hotels and Motels who serve overnight guests are not considered to be within the definition of a residential user. A commercial user is defined as any user who operates a business and does not come within the definition of a residential user. That the following schedule of monthly rates or charges for services furnished by the City's Sanitary Sewer System shall be and such is hereby adopted and established as follows, to -wit: COMMERCIAL SEWER RATES No. of Gal.s of Water Used Sewer Rates 1 to 3,000 Gal.s Over 3,000 Gal.s $ 3.50 (Minimum) .15 per 1,000 gals used RESIDENTIAL SEWER RATES No. of Gal.s of Water Used Sewer Rates 1 to 3,000 Gal.s Over 3,000 Gal.s $ 2.00 (Minimum) $ .10 per 1,000 gal.s used The above sewer rates apply to all users located within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. All users located outside of the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, shall pay double the minimum charge for the first 3,000 gallons used, but consumption of over 3,000 gallons shall be charged at the same rate as users within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. Monthly water consumption shall be based upon an average monthly water consumption for the months of NOVEMBER DECEMBER , and JANUARY That all ordinances, resolutions or orders heretofore enacted passed and adopted by the governing body of the City of Round Rock, Texas, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
