PROVIvI vG FOR FORM OF PETITION FOR CxANuF THEREYROM AND PRO- VIDING PENALTIES YOn TnE VIOLATION OF THE SAVE. BE IT ENaCTED by the Council of the Town of Hound nock exas; that tyle fire limits of the town are hereby designated and described as follows to -wit: Sec. l.- Beginning at the N. W. Corner of block #23, thence S. to the S. W. corner of Block #8, thence E. to the S. E. Corner of Block #10 , thence N. to the N. E. Cornercdt Block #21 thence W. to to the place of beginning, including the following Blocks to -wit: Nos. 21, 22, 23, 8`; 9`f 10", and all the territory within the limits above described, is hereby designated and shall hereafter be known as the fire limits of this town, provided that when a majority of the owners outside of the sire limits as above described,ishhll make written ­ application to the Town Council to have said clocks so owned by them included within the Fire limits, then upon filing such application with the Town Secretary, signed by the majority of the owners of such block, asking that it be placed within the Yire limits, the said block shall hereafter be held to be within the Fire limits. Sec. 2.- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to erect, place, move, enlarge, or repair within the fire limits of this town, any building of any kind or size whatever.. on any part on any building what- ever or to make any addition to the building, out of any material other than brick or stone or concrete, and the roof out of any other material other than zinc, tin, sheet iron, slate, or composition. And it shall be unlawful to rebuild or repair any wooden building within the Fire limits when the same shall have been damaged by fire to the extent of fifty per cent of the value thereof, which damage shall be ascer- tained by the committee of the Fire department, who will report to the town Council in writing the result of their inspection: providing that this section shall not prevent the erection of frame awnings, shade or galleries over side -walks in front of brick, stone or concrete buildings, or small frame or box privies on lots inside of lire limits. Sec. 3.- it shall not be lawful to grant any rights or priviliges in violation of this ordinance governing the b'ire limits, except upon petition, which petition before being acted upon by the Town Council, must first been unanimously endorsed by the committee on Fire Department4 at a regular meeting of the Town Council, and shall then be read and approved by a two-thirds vote of the ,ouncil at it's next regular meeting. Sec. 4.- Any personor firm violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, regulating Fire limits, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemean- or and on conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty- five nor more than One hundred Dollars. And each separate day in which any of the provisions of this ordinance are violated, shall constitute a separate and distinct offence.
