WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids
for the construction of the Southeast Round Rock PID 16" waterline,
and
WHEREAS, Trident Underground Utilities, Inc. has
submitted the lowest and best bid, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of
Trident Underground Utilities, Inc., Now Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with Trident Underground Utilities,
Inc. for the construction of the Southeast Round Rock PID 16"
waterline, a copy of said contract being attached hereto and
incorporated herein for all purposes.

Dear Mr. Nuse:
As you are aware, bids were opened at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 25, 1996, for the above
referenced project_
A total of fifteen (15) bids were received, with the lowest bid being from Trident
Underground Utilities, Inc. of Del Valle, TX in the amount of $ 338,394.20. A complete
bid tabulation is enclosed for your review.
Trident Underground Utilities, Inc. has completed many utility projects and are currently
at work on a subdivision project that will tie into this waterline.
Based upon their past experience record and submission of the lowest and best bid, we
recommend award of this contract to Trident Underground Utilities, Inc. of Del Valle, TX
in the amount of $ 338,394.20_

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
On June 25, 1996, 15 bids were received for the 16" waterline. Trident Underground Utilities,
Inc. was the lowest and best bidder at $338,394.20. Staff recommends acceptance of the bid for
Trident Underground Utilities, Inc.
