Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to Body Works for the purchase of fitness equipment for the Clay Madsen Recreation Center expansion project. Department: Parks & Recreation Department Staff Person: Sharon Prete, Parks and Recreation Director Justification: These items are needed for the CMRC Expansion Project. Two treadmills are replacement items. Funding: Cost: $53,920 Source of funds: Self Finance General Construction Fund /General Fund Outside Resources: N/A Background Information: Public Comment: Since the CMRC opened its doors in July of 2000, the public response to the facility has been very positive. Typically, the fitness room is filled to capacity and waiting times for equipment are long, which has generated complaints from the members. Expanding the fitness room and adding additional equipment will allow us to serve more customers at any given time. A survey was conducted of CMRC membership to help us identify our equipment needs for the expansion. As a result, the specified equipment became the priority.
