O-89-2429 - 10/12/1989Rabbpark ORDINANCE NO C94c9 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND SETTING A DATE, TIME^ AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARlNGS, On the 26th day of October, 1989, at 7;00 o'clock P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the property described in Exhibit (e) "A" attached hereto and made a part of. ll, On the lst' day of November. 1989, at 6:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Council Chambers of the City of Round Rock, Texas. the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested peroone the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of the above described property. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause notices of such public hearings to be published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the territory proposed to be annexed; such notices to be published at least once in such newspaper not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to said hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act. IV, The Director of Planning is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal services into the area proposed to be annexed. Holder Survey in Williamson County, Texas, part of a tract of 73.78 acres described in a deed from Claude Berkman to Phillip Warner in 1966, of record in Vol. 491, Page 111, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, Survey on the ground in Sept. 1967, by W.F. Forest. Consider an ordinance setting the datetime, and place for the annexation of Rabb Park. (First Reading) STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval This ordinance will establish the date, time, and place for the required public hearing to annex the Rabb Park. This is city owned land which is contiguous to the existing city boundaries on the south. This annexation will allow the City Police and Fire Department to service this facility. ECONOMIC IMPACT: Cost of provision of Police and Fire protection.
