AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PARTIAL EXEMPTION FROM AD VALOREM
TAXES FOR CERTAIN QUALIFIED HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT
PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the owners of the following real properties, described on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, have complied with Chapter 11, Section
4.S., Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas.
II.
That the real properties described in Exhibit "A" be granted an
exemption of seventy-five percent (75%) of the assessed value of the
structure and land for the year 1989, pursuant to the provisions of
Chapter 11, Section 4.S., Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock,
Texas.
III.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other section or provisions th�eer�eoff..,

ITEM: 12B. Consider an ordinance concerning historic tax
abatement for certain properties. (Second Reading)
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval of 25 applications for Historic
Property tax abatement.
The H.P.C. recommended the approval of 25 applications. They also
plan to establish more detailed criteria for determining abatement
in the future. All these applications meet the present criteria.
Exhibit "A" summarizes the applications.
ECONOMIC IMPACT: Total tax abatement will equal $10,541.00 based
on preliminary 1989 assessed values and a city
tax rate of .42.
