AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REVISION OF THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR FISCAL YEAR
1988-89.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
That the budget of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for Fiscal
Year 1988-89 is hereby revised in accordance with the proposal
submitted to the Council by the City Manager, which proposal is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and is incorporated into this
ordinance by reference for all purposes.

ITEM: 12B. Consider an ordinance amending the 1988-89
budget to include additional health insurance
costs. (Second Reading)
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: David Kautz
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City offer dual choice to
employees regarding health care benefits coverage to be effective
June 1, 1989. This means employees would have the right to choose
between the current Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plan and the proposed
Texas Health Plan (HMO). Under the staff's proposal there would be
an additional cost to the City but no additional cost for individual
employees.
ECONOMIC IMPACT: Cost to the City from June 1, 1989 to September
30, 1989 : $16,926.00
