AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND SETTING A DATE,
TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH. PUBLIC HEARINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL -0F THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
.TEXAS, THAT,
I.
On the 20th day of April
19 89
at 6:00 o'clock p. M. in the City Council Chambers,
City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a
public hearing giving all interested persons the right
to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the
City of Round Rock, Texas, of the property described
in Exhibit (s) A attached hereto and made a
part hereof.

On the 27th day of April , 19 89
at 7:00 o'clock P. M. in the City Council Chambers
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of the above described property.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause notices of such public hearings to be published
in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and
in the territory proposed to be annexed; such notices to be
published at least once in such newspaper not more than
twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to said
hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act.
IV.
The Director of Planning is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare a service plan that provides for
the extension of municipal services into the area
proposed to be annexed.

requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate

ITEM: 12E. Consider an ordinance setting the date, time
and place of public hearings for the
annexation of 11.17 acres (Jean Bright Land
Tract). (First Reading)
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining/Sharon Prete
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
The staff recommends annexation of this 11.170 acre tract
presently owned by the City of Round Rock. This tract will
expand the limits of Old Settlers Park at Palm Valley east
to surround the existing lake.
The public hearing dates are April 20th, 1989 at 6:00 P.M.
in the City Council Chamber (City Council) and April 27th,
1989 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber (City
Council).
