IL The Round Rock Charter Review Commission met on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at
. . int e City Council Chamber, 221 E. MainStreet, Round Rock, Texas.
Steve Sheets,City Attorney due to a lack of a Chairman, called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Those members present were Karen Adair-Murphy, Cary Bovey, Rufus Honeycutt,
Steve Laukhuf, Scott Placekand RobertStluka. Jim Goodwinabsent.
Election Chairman: Steve Sheets opened the floor for nominations. Robe Stluka was
nominated.
Motion: Commissioner Honeycutt moved that nominations cease and to appoint Robert Stluka
as Chairman by acclamation. o issio er Bovey seconded the motion.
Vote: Ayes: Commissioner Adair-Murphy

Commissioner Stluka
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Goodwin
Action:, The motion carried unanimously.
Election Vice-Chairman: Stluka opened the floor for nominations. Steve Laukhuf
was nominated.
Motion: Commissioner Bovey moved that nominations cease and to appoint Steve Laukhuf as
Vice-Chairman y acclamation. Commissioner Honeycutt seconded the motion.

Charter. He also outlined the duties oft e Commission and the City Council action over the
Commission proceedings.

Commissioners Comments: The Commission briefly discussed the process they wish to follow
intheir review of the Charter. Also,how to receive input or comments from the citizens, staff and
Council e in the City Charter. Staff was directedto add a Citizens Communication item to all
Charter Review Commissionagendas. so to advertise on the City's web site and the City's Cable
Channel 1 . To send a letter tote Neighborhood AssociationPresidents informing t e that the
Charter Review Commissionbeen oft and is soliciting input or comments regarding the
Charter. e Commission will then isc ss all comments and suggestions brought to them an
determine how those will be addressed. suggestion was broughtabout the Charter Review
Commission getting an e-mail address on the City's web site for comments or suggestions.
