ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND SETTING A DATE,
TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, THAT,
I.
On the 10th day of November , 19 88
at 7:00 o'clock p. M. in the City Council Chambers,
City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a
public hearing giving all interested persons the right
to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the
City of Round Rock, Texas, of the property described
in Exhibit (s) A. B & C attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
II.
On the 17th day of
November
, 19 88 ,
at 6:00 o'clock p. M. in the City Council Chambers
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of the above described property.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause notices of such public hearings to be published
in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and
in the territory proposed to be annexed; such notices to be
published at least once in such newspaper not more than
twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to said
hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act.
IV.
The Director of Planning is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare a service plan that provides for
the extension of municipal services into the area
proposed to be annexed.

Pacific Railroad, a one -hundred (100) foot wide right-of-way, which bears
S00°19'58"W, 219.14 feet from the most southerly southeast corner of the
above-described 425.540 acre TRACT I. for the northeast corner and POINT OF
BEGINNING of the hereinafter described 2.416 acre TRACT II:
THENCE along the east line hereof, S00°20'12"W, 307.37 feet to an iron pin set
for the southeast coroer hereof;

in said south railroad right-of-way line, for the most westerly corner hereof;
THENCE along said south right-of-way line, for the north line hereof,
N66°12'53"E, 750.32 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described
TRACT II, containing 2.416 acres of land.
IN ALL, said TRACT I and said TRACT II, as described herein, containing an
aggregate total of 427.956 acres of land.
Save and except that portion of land previously annexed in Ordinance
860 dated December 13, 1984, of approximately 5.04 acres making a
corrected total of 422.916 acres outside the City Limits.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval.
This ordinance establishes the date, time and place for two
public hearings for three tracts which form part of the 1988
Annexation Plan. These tracts include the following:
1. Manhattan's & IH -35 right of way (6.243 acres)
2. FM 1325 and adjacent Sellstrom Tract (27.595 acres)
3. Old Settlers Park @ Palm Valley (422.916 acres)
The Ordinance sets the Public Hearings as follows:
1. Regular Council Meeting 7:00 P.M., November 10, 1988.
2. Special Council Meeting 6:00 P.M., November 17, 1988.
