MEMORANDUM
TO: Bob Bennett
FROM: Joe Vining
DATE: October 5, 1988
SUBJECT: Golf Course Annexation Strategy
The following course of action is recommended to
provide for the greatest flexability in annexing
the Franklin 582 (golf course) Tract.
This course of action allows the City to retain all
of its options for the longest period of time in
order to continue working with Hutto and the golf
course developers. It also provides us with the
maximum flexability in choosing the service scenario
that best meets our needs.
1. October 13, 1988
A. First reading only on tracts A, B, C & D
in a single ordinance. This keeps these
annexations alive and provides 90 more
days to finalize action - or choose not
to annex.
B. A new date, time and place ordinance read
for the Franklin 582 Tract. The present
public hearings require first reading of
an ordinance on or before October 18, 1988.
The new date, time and place extends the
time for Hutto to transfer the ETJ and
keeps the Co. Rd. 122 annexation as a
viable option.
2. October 27, 1988
A. First reading only for Co. Rd. 122.
3. November 3, 1988
A. Special public hearing held for readvertised
Franklin 582 Tract.

4. November 10, 1988

B. First reading for readvertised Franklin
582 Tract.
6. February 24, 1988

582 Tract.
