O-88-2322 - 2/11/1988Ordinance No. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 4.C.(1) CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TO INCREASE THE RESIDENTIAL SANITATION CHARGE; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City's contract with Round Rock Refuse, Inc. for garbage collection services provides for the modification of rates to reflect changes in the cost of operations, as reflected by fluctuations in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (All Items) and the Consumer Price Index (Gasoline) and WHEREAS, said contract also provides that Round Rock Refuse, Inc. may petition the City for additional rate adjustments on the basis of unusual changes in its cost of operations, and WHEREAS, Round Rock Refuse, Inc. has submitted such a petition, and WHEREAS, based on the Rate Adjustment Formula using the changes in the Consumer Price Index, the rate charged for garbage collection services should be increased Fifty cents ($.50) per month, and WHEREAS, the Council determines that on the basis of unusual changes in the cost of operations, the rate charged for garbage collection services should be increased an additional Ten cents ($.10) per month, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS I. That Chapter 10, Section 4.C.(1) Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended so that the residential sanitation charge shall be Six and 60/100 dollars ($6.60) per month. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provisions of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions hereof.
