O-87-2308 - 11/12/1987ORDINANCE NO. 2308 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 1, CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, BY ADDING TRENCH SAFETY REGULATIONS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, I. That Chapter 3, Section 1, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended by adding subsection F, Trench Safety Regulations, which said subsection shall hereafter read as follows: F. TRENCH SAFETY REGULATIONS All construction projects within the incorporated limits or the extra -territorial limits of the City of Round Rock in which trench excavation will exceed a depth of five feet shall include in all contracts and bid documents detailed plans and specifications for trench safety systems. Said systems shall meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and a separate pay item shall be included in the plans and specifications for these systems. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this Ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. Alternative 1.
