AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING TO BE HELD ON THE SITE OF THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION AND SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, THAT
I.
On the 10th day of April
1986
, at 6:00
o'clock p .m. on the site of the property proposed to be
annexed, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving
all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of
the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
II.
On the 10th day of April , 19 86 , at 7:00
o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public.
hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and
be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of the
above-described property.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
cause notices of such public hearings to be published in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the
territory proposed to be annexed; such notices to be pub-
lished at least once in such newspaper not more than twenty
(20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to said hearings,
all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act.
IV.
The Director of Planning is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare a service plan that provides for the
extension of municipal services into the area proposed to be
annexed.

tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.

ANNEXATION OR CITY LIMITS EXTENSION PETITION
TO THE MAYOR AND GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS.
The undersigned owners of the hereinafter described
tract of land, which is vacant and without residents, or on
which less than three (3)- qualified voters reside, hereby
petition your Honorable Body to extend the present city
limits so as to include as a part of the City of Round Rock,
Texas, the following described territory, to -wit:
(see Exhibit "A")
We hereby certify, under oath, that:
(1) WE ARE THE TRUE AND ONLY OWNERS OF THE ABOVE
DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND and as evidence thereof we have
attached as Exhibit "B" a true and current copy of the
Warranty Deed whereby we acquired said property, and
(2) the above described tract of land is contiguous and
adjacent to the current city limits of the City of Round
Rock, Texas.

3-13-86 City Council acts on petition for voluntary annexation by adopting an ordinance
to set the date, time, and place of two public hearings:
1st public hearing, on location: 6:00 P.M., Thursday, 4-10-86

3-24-86 Take above public notice of two annexation public hearings to Round Rock Leader.
3-27-86 Publication dates for annexation public notice (10-20 days between publication
date and public hearing.
4-17-86 Take public notice to Leader announcing:
1) A public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on original zoning
for the territory proposed for annexation (set for Thursday, May 1. 1986 ).
2) A second such public hearing before the City Council (set for Thursday,
May 8, 1986
4-21-86 Publication date for above zoning public hearing notice (10 days for P&Z and 15
for City Council).
4-10-86 The first advertised public hearing on annexation is held on site prior to the
City Council meeting, and the second advertised public hearing on annexation
is held at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber.
5-1-86 Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and recommendation on zoning.
5-8-86 The City Council conducts the following business;
1) The City Council holds zoning public hearing on proposed annexation.
2) The City Council adopts an ordinance annexing the territory (20-40 days
between public hearing and ordinance).
3) The City Council adopts an ordinance zoning the annexed territory.

ITEM: 13I. - Consider an ordinance establishing the date, time and
place for public hearings on the voluntary annexation
of a portion of the Hoppe Tract.
Petitioners have requested the City Council to adopt an ordinance establishing
a date, time and place for public hearings regarding the voluntary annexation
of 75 acres out of the David Curry Survey to the City of Round Rock. This
parcel is located along the south side of FM 3406 Highway (west Horizon Road),
east of Sam Bass Road, north of the Woods subdivision and west of the Georgetown
railroad.
