O-87-2267 - 1/8/1987ORDINANCE NO. 2267 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PARKS AND RECREATION USER FEES FOR THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS I. That Chapter I, Section 21, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 21: Parks and Recreation Department User Fee. A. Facility/Equipment Rental (1) Resident individuals, clubs, organizations, groups, or may rent Parks and Recreation facilities for special functions, available, for a fee. Park/Park Area Recreation Center Municipal Pool Recreation Kit Sports Fields Concession Stand (2) Non -city ($10.00) dollar fee. $ 25.00 (Kinningham) $ 45.00 50 people or less $ 60.00 51-75 people $ 75.00 76-100 people $100.00 101 or more people $130.00 $ 10.00 $ 50.00 $ 20.00 residents shall be charged per per per per per per per per per firms when function function function function function function function field per day day an additional ten B. Sports Facility Light Fee (1) Individuals, clubs, organizations, groups, or firms, other than youth sports association, shall be charged four dollars and fifty cents ($4.50) per hour that sports facility lights are used for organized activities. C. Youth Sports Association Facility Fees (1) Field Sports (a) Youth Sports Associations shall reimburse the City for all electric costs during the months that their programs are in session. In the event a facility is shared, the association(s) shall pay the City four dollars and fifty ($4.50) cents per participant. (b) All Youth Associations shall pay the City one-third (1/3) the cost of marble dust and infield topping used per season. (2) Pool Sports (a) Recreational Youth swim teams shall pay the City $8.50 per hour that the pool is used for practices and/or swim meets. (b) The Round Rock High School Swim Team is exempt from provisions of this ordinance, but is subject to a contract authorized by the Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas by Resolution 774R dated October 10, 1985. D. Municipal Pool Admission (1) Resident Fees - Daily Admission 18 years of age and under $ .75 19 years of age and older $ 1.25 (2) Resident Fees - Pass (ten (10) visits) 18 years of age and under $ 5.50 19 years of age and older $ 10.50 (3) Non -Resident Fees - Daily Admission 18 years of age and under $ 1.00 19 years of age and older $ 1.50 (4) Non -Resident Fees - Pass (ten (10) visits) 18 years of age and under $ 8.00 19 years of age and older $ 13.00 E. Recreation Programs (1) The fees charged for recreation classes, special events, and sports leagues shall be set by the Parks and Recreation Director subject to the approval of the City Manager. (2) Non -Residents shall pay an additional five dollars ($5.00) per class, special event or sports leagues. F. Refundable Deposits A refundable deposit shall be charged for the use of facilities and equipment in addition to user fees. All deposits shall be returned if the users do not damage equipment, facilities, leave the facility in a litter free condition, and return equipment. G. Waiving of Fees The City Manager or his designee may waive all or a portion of a fee when appropriate. Main St. Round Rock, Texas 78664 Re: Park & Recreation Department User Fee Ordinance Dear Sharon: Per the authority given me, by this ordinance, the following types of groups shall be exempt from paying Park/Recreation Center rental fees: Homeowner Associations Scout Groups Youth Sports Groups School Groups Individuals and/or small groups The intent of the ordinance is not to prohibit use of the parks by individuals or neighborhood groups, but to charge groups hosting company picnics, class reunions, arts & crafts fairs, etc. Sincerely, #r/L-- , hack A.
