AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING TO BE HELD ON THE SITE OF THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION AND SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, THAT
I.
On the 25th day of September , 19 86 , at 5:00
o'clock p .m. on the site of the property proposed to be
annexed, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving,
all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of
the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
II.
On the 25th day of September , 1986 , at 7:00
o'clock .m. in the City Council Chambers of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public
hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and
be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of the
above-described property.
III.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed -to
cause notices of such public hearings to be published in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the
territory proposed to be annexed; such notices to be pub-
lished at least once in such newspaper not more than twenty
(20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to said hearings,
all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act.
IV.
The Director of Planning is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare a service plan that provides for the
extension of municipal services into the area proposed to be
annexed.

tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed

ANNEXATION AND ORIGINAL ZONING TIMETABLE
8-28-86 City Council acts on petition for voluntary annexation by adopting an ordinance
to set the date, time, and place of two public hearings:
1st public hearing, on location: 5:00 P.M., Thursday, 8-25-86
Place: on Meister Lane approx, 1/2 mile south of Gattis School Rd.
2nd public hearing: 7:00 P.M., Thursday, 8-25-86 , Council Meeting Room.
8-8-86 Take above public notice of two annexation public hearings to Round Rock Leader.
8-11-86 Publication dates for annexation public notice (10-20 days between publication
date and public hearing.
10-2-86 Take public notice to Leader announcing:
1) A public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on original zoning
for the territory proposed for annexation (set for Thursday, 10-16-86 ).
2) A second such public hearing before the City Council (set for Thursday,
10-23-86
10-6-86 Publication date for above zoning public hearing notice (10 days for P&Z and 15
for City Council).
8-25-86 The first advertised public hearing on annexation is held on site prior to the
City Council meeting, and the second advertised public hearing on annexation
is held at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber.
10-16-86 Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and recommendation on zoning.

The City Council conducts the following business:
1) The City Council holds zoning public hearing on proposed annexation.
2) The City Council adopts an ordinance annexing the territory (20-40 days
between public hearing and ordinance).
3) The City Council adopts an ordinance zoning the annexed territory.

The developer has requested voluntary annexation of a 100.10 acre area
known as the Eichelberger tract (Springridge Subdivision). This tract is
contiguous to present city boundaries.
