AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD
IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY
THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
SECRETARY TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT,
I.
On the 4th day of September , 1986 , at 5:30
o'clock p. m. in the City Council Chambers, City of Round Rock,
Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all
interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed
annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the property described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof.
II.
On the llth day of September , 19 86 , at 7:00
o'clock p. m. in the City Council Chambers of the City of Round Rock,
Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested
persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of the above-described property.
III.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notices of such public hearings to be published in a newspaper having
general circulation in the City and in the territory proposed to be
annexed; such notices to be published at least once in such newspaper
not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to said
hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act.
IV.
The Director of Planning is hereby authorized and directed to
prepare a service plan that provided for the extension of municipal
services into the area proposed to be annexed.

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading
this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

FIELD NOTES describing 19.6485 acres of land out of and a part of
the William Dugan Survey, Abstract 190, the David Curry Survey,
Abstract 130 and the William Kincaid Survey, Abstract 374, being
all situated in Williamson County, Texas. Said 19.6485 acres of
land being a portion of a certain 29.581 acre tract described in
Volume L2 ? _7, Page 7 92 of the Williamson County Deed
Records. Said 19. 6485 acre tract being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin found at a fence corner, being the most
easterly corner of said 29. 581 acre tract;
THENCE with a fence along a southeasterly line of said 29.581 acre
tract, being also the northwesterly line of a certain 1.36 acre
tract described in Volume 795, Page 45 of said Williamson County
Deed Records, South 70°52'19" West, -303.06 feet to an iron pin
found at• the northwest corner of said 1.36 acre tract;
THENCE continuing- with said fence along said southeasterly line,
being also the northwesterly line of a certain 1.35 acre tract
described in Volume 666, Page 382 of said Williamson County Deed
Records the following two (2) courses;
1. South 60°26'26" West, 335.85 feet to an iron pin found;
2. South 85°53'26" West, 115. 32 feet to ars iron pin found at the
northwest corner of said 1.35 acre tract;
THENCE continuing with said fence along said southeasterly line,
being also the northwesterly line of a certain 4.05 acre tract
described i n Volume 668, Page 657 of said Williamson Courlt y Deed
Records, the following two (2) courses.;
1. South 57°27' 43" West, 83.26 feet to an iron pin found;

ITEM: 7F - Consider an ordinance setting the date, time and place
of public hearings for the proposed annexation of the
" FM 3406 Strip". (First Reading)
The proposed annexation of this area is predicated upon recent actions by the
City of Austin which transfered Extra -Territorial Jurisdiction responsibility
to the City of Round Rock. Additionally, the Planning Department is currently
discussing development proposals for the area.
