THE STATE OF TEXAS, COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON, CITY OF ROUND ROCK ORDINANCE NO 132 * * AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE BELLVIEW SUBDIVISION, A SUBDIVISION OUT OF THE J. M. HARRELL SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, TO THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, SAID PROPERTY BEING ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS AND BEING FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas: WHEREAS, a petition was filed by a majority of the inhabitants and qualified voters of the said Bellview Subdivision with the Mayor and City Council of Round Rock, Texas, on October 4, 1973, for annexation to the City of Round Rock, Texas, the hereinafter described real property which is contiguous and adjacent to the present City Limits; and WHEREAS, a majority of the said inhabitants and qualified voters of the said Bellview Subdivision elected to become a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and voted in favor of the said City annex- ing the said Bellview Subdivision into the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and WHEREAS, said petition and an affidavit setting forth the facts concerning the election of the inhabitants and qualified voters of the said Bellview Subdivision were presented at a hearing of which the public was duly notified in accordance with the law, held by the Mayor and City Council on the 25th day of October, 1973, and the City Council deeming it advisable to grant said petition, said petition for annexation is in all things granted. Therefore, the hereinafter described property shall be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, for municipal purposes, and that the present corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, are hereby extended to embrace the said property and territory which is more particularly described as follows: BEING a tract of land known as the Bellview Subdivision, a subdivision out of the J. M. Harrell Survey, Williamson County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof, recorded in Vol. 4, Page 72, Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Said tract of land being off the North ends of two 20.4 acre tracts, the first of which said tracts was conveyed to Edward J. Walsch, Jr., by Alta Mae Bonham, et vir, by deed recorded in Vol. 449, Page 229, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and second of said tracts was conveyed to the said Edward J. Walsch, Jr., by Viola Mays, et al, by deed recorded in Vol. 437, Page 118, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas. BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of the above mentioned Bonham 20.4 acre tract, which point is in the South right of way line of the Missouri Pacific railroad and which is S. 871/2 deg. W. 793 vrs and N 19 deg. W. 2460 vrs from the S. E. corner of said Harrell League. THENCE along the south right of way of said railroad, S. 43 deg. 30' W. 1417.6 feet to the N.E. corner of the 60 acre tract sold by Harold Bredthauer to The Texas Veterans Land Board by deed dated August 26, 1954 and recorded in Vol. 399, Page 367, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; said point also being the N.W. corner of the above mentioned Viola Mays tract; THENCE with the E. line of said Land Board tract, as fenced, S. 18 deg. 44' E. 508.2 feet to an iron stake for the S. W. corner hereof; THENCE N 43 deg. 30' E. 1417.6 feet to an iron stake in the east line of the above mentioned 20.4 acre Bonham tract, and the S .E. corner hereof; THENCE along the east line of said last named 20.4 acre tract, N 18 deg. 44' W. 508.2 feet to the place of beginning, That the property owners of the territory hereby annexed by the City of Round Rock, Texas, shall in all respects, be entitled to the same rights, privileges, benefits and protection as other property owners located within the City Limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and shall also be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations governing the City of Round Rock,Texas, That if any section, subsection, word, sentence or phrase of this ordinance is held invalid, it shall not effect the remaining part of this ordinance. The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the im- mediately preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
