MIKE ROBINSON, Mayor City of Round Rock, Texas ATTEST: DATE: August 20, 1985 SUBJECT: Council Agenda, August 22, 1985 ITEM: 13F - Ordinance adopting 1985 Building Codes The primary purpose of continually up dating building and related codes is to keep in step with new ideas in building, health and safety requirements related to structures being built, added to or demolished. Between the 1982 building code and the 1985 building code there are one hundred and thirty nine (139) code changes and none of these changes appear to be cost related to a builder but mostly clarification, better references, code format, etc. The 1985 Codes are: Standard Building Code with the Code on Unsafe Buildings Standard Plumbing Code Standard Gas Code Standard Mechanical Code Standard Swimming Pool Code Standard Fire Code Staff recommends the Council adopt these updated versions of the Code. The ordinance itself will be presented at the meeting.
