O-85-2181 - 6/13/1985ORDINANCE NO. 2181 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 4.A.(6)(a) AND SECTION 4.B.(2)(a), CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, TO PROVIDE FOR A WATER SERVICE FEE OF ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FORTY FIVE AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,345.00) AND A WASTEWATER SERVICE FEE OF ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,250.00), AND AMENDING CHAPTER 1, SECTION 33.B. TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM ROAD IMPROVEMENT FEE FOR COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL OF TWO HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($200.00); PROVDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. That Chapter 10, Section 4.A.(6)(a) Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) Water Service Fee (i) Each applicant for a permit for new construction inside the city limits shall at the time the permit is issued, pay a base Water Service Fee of One Thousand Three Hundred Forty Five and No/100 Dollars ($1,345.00) for each living unit equivalent. (ii) The number of living unit equivalents for non - single family detached residential use shall be detemined as follows: Type of Number of Residential Unit Living Unit Equivalents Duplex 0.9 per unit Tri-plex, four-piex 0.7 per unit and multi -family (iii) The number of living unit equivalents for com- mercial and industrial use shall be determined in accordance with the following formula: (iv) Building Area x 6 x Land Area = LUE's Land Area in Acres The $1,345.00 base fee established in sub- paragraph (i) above shall be increased or decreased for single family detached residences in accordance with the schedule set forth below: Square Feet of Floor Area 2000 or more 1000 - 1999 999 or less Fee $1,545.00 $1,345.00 $1,145.00 Square footage excludes garages and carports. (v) All funds generated by the Water Service Fee in excess of $150.00 per living unit equivalent or single family detached residential unit, shall be deposited in a separate account for Water and Wastewater Capital Improvements for the expan- sion and improvement of the City's Utility System. 6. That Chapter 10, Section 4.B.(2)(a)(iv), Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows: (iv) The $1,250.00 base fee established in subparagraph (i) above shall be increased or decreased for single family detached residences in accordance with the schedule set forth below: Square Feet of Floor Area Fee 2000 or more 1000 - 1999 999 or less $1,450.00 $1,250.00 $1,050.00 Square footage excludes garages and carports. 111. That Chapter 1, Section 33.8(3), Code of Ordinances, is hereby amended to read as follows: (iii) The number of living unit equivalents for com- mercial and industrial use shall be determined in accordance with the following formula: Building Area x 6 x Land Area = LUE's Land Area in Acres The minimum fee for industrial and commercial use shall be Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($200.00). IV. A. The validity of any section or provision of this Ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. B. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. READ and APPROVED on first reading this the ,a347 day , 1985.
