O-84-2131 - 9/13/1984ORDINANCE NO. 2131 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 4.A.(6)(a) AND CHAPTER 10, SECTION 4.B.(2)(a), CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, TO AMEND THE WATER SERVICE FEES AND WASTEWATER SERVICE FEES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. I. That Chapter 10, Section 4.A.(6)(a) Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) Water Service Fee (i) Each applicant for a permit for new construction inside the city limits shall at the time the permit is issued, pay a base Water Service Fee of One Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) for each living unit equivalent to be served. (ii) The number of living unit equivalents for non -single family detached residential use shall be determined as follows: Type of Number of Residential Unit Living Unit Equivalents Duplex 0.9 per unit Tri-plex, four-plex and multi -family 0.7 per unit (iii) The number of living unit equivalents for commercial and industrial use shall be determined in accordance with the following formula: Building Area X 6 X Land Area = LUE's Land Area in Acres (iv) The $1,200 base fee established in subparagraph (i) above shall be increased or decreased for single family detached residences in accordance with the schedule set forth below: Square Feet of Floor Area 2000 or more 1000 - 2000 1000 or less Fee $ 1,450.00 1,200.00 1,050.00 Square footage excludes garages and carports. (V) All funds generated by the Water Service Fee in excess of $150.00 per living unit equivalent or single family detached residential unit, shall be deposited in a separate account for Water and Wastewater Capital Improvements for the expansion and improvement of the City's Utility System. II. That Chapter 10, Section 4.B.(2)(a), Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) Sewer Service Fee (i) Each applicant for a permit for new construction inside the city limits shall at the time the permit is issued, pay a base Sewer Service Fee of One Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) for each living unit equivalent to be served.
