O-83-2078 - 11/22/1983ORDINANCE NO. 2078 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS BY ADDING A SECTION 31 PROVIDING FOR A FEE FOR REVIEWING AND RESPONDING TO A REQUEST FOR CONSENT TO ESTABLISH A MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, from time to time the City of Round Rock is ap- proached by land owners, development interests, et cetera regarding the feasibility of establishing a Municipal Utility District within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City, and WHEREAS, members of the City's staff are asked to spend considerable time evaluating and reviewing the aforesaid requests, and WHEREAS, it is generally necessary for the City to retain consulting engineers and attorneys to advise it concerning M.U.D. requests, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it both necessary and desirable for the petitioners of a M.U.D. to bear and defray the City's expenses and costs that are incurred as a result of the M.U.D. petition, Now Therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS I. That Chapter 1, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended by adding Section 31, which Section shall read as follows: SECTION 31: MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICTS A. FEES Each request or petition to the City for its written consent for the creation of a municipal utility district shall be accompanied by a fee of $5,000.00 which shall be paid to the City to defray the expense of reviewing and responding to said request or petition. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B.
