O-83-2072 - 11/10/1983ORDINANCE NO. 2072 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER I, SECTION 5, CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS TO CHANGE THE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE CODE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS I. That Chapter I, Section 5, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 5: PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF CODE A. FIRE SAFETY, ZONING, AND PUBLIC HEALTH AND SANITATION Wherever in this Code or in any Ordinance of the City relating to fire safety, zoning, and public health and sanitation other than vegetation and litter violations, an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or misdemeanor, or wherever in said Code the doing of such act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, and no specific penalty is provided therefore, the violation of any such provision of said Code or any such Ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00). B. TRAFFIC RELATED OFFENSES AND OTHER VIOLATIONS Wherever in this Code or in any Ordinance of the City relating to traffic related offenses and other violations an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or misdemeanor, or wherever in said Code the doing of such act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, and no specific penalty is provided therefore, the violation of any such provision of said Code or any such Ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). C. FURTHER PROVISIONS No penalty in Sections 5.A. and 5.B. above shall be greater or less than the penalty provided for the same or similar offense under the laws of the State.
