O-82-961 - 6/24/1982ORDINANCE NO. 96/ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK TO INCLUDE CERTAIN TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS WITH THE CITY'S EXISTING EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION. WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas requesting that the extraterritorial jurisdiction of said City be extended to include the property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by all of the owners of said property, and WHEREAS, said property is contiguous to the otherwise existing extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Round Rock, and WHEREAS, the extension of the extraterritorial jurisdic- tion will not conflict with the extraterritorial jurisdiction of another city, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the City of Round Rock to so extend its extraterritorial jurisdiction to include the above described property, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT: I. Pursuant to Art. 970a, Sec. 3.C. V.A.T.S., the extra- territorial jurisdiction of the City of Round Rock, Texas shall be extended so as to include the property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof. Nelson, Jr., Trustee, #1, recorded in vol. 571, page 446, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas; SAVE AND EXCEPT the following three tracts of land, to -wit: (1) That certain tract of 345.79 acres of land described in deed dated May 5, 1978, to Elmer L. McLester et al, recorded in vol. 713, page 413, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas, and (2) That certain tract of 474.91 acres of land described in deed dated June 23, 1976, to Hyland North Joint Venture, recorded in vol. 639, page 693, and (3) That certain tract of 23.721 acres of land to be within the proposed right of way of R.N. 1431, as described in a Partial Release dated August 17, 1980, and recorded in vol. 805, page 905, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas. Said 592.929 acres of land being the remainder of said 1437.45 acres after deducting therefrom the three tracts referred to herein above.
