AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
PROCEED TO ACQUIRE THROUGH EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEED-
INGS CERTAIN PROPERTY NEEDED FOR THE WIDENING AND
IMPROVEMENT OF GATTIS SCHOOL ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Round Rock, Texas, has
determined that Gattis School Road needs to be widened and
improved to protect the health and safety of citizens travel-
ing thereon, and
WHEREAS, certain right-of-way needs to be acquired by
the City to construct the needed improvements to the street,
and
WHEREAS, negotiations with the owners of the property
for its purchase have not been successful, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS
I.
That the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed
to proceed immediately with the acquisition of the necessary
property through eminent domain proceedings. The property to
be acquired is described as follows:
Tract One:
FIELD NOTES describing a 0.0252 acre parcel or
tract of land being a portion of Lot 41, Southern
Terrace, Revised, as shown on a Plat of Record in
Cabinet D, Slide 90-91, of the Plat Records of
Williamson County, Texas, conveyed to Leonard J.
Eaton, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 551, Page
211 of the Deed Records of Williamson County,
Texas, and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the existing South right-
of-way line of Gattis School Road at its intersec-
tion with the East right-of-way line of Dixie Lane,
at the Northwest corner of said Lot 41 and the
Northwest corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of the
hereinafter described 0.0252 acre tract of land;
THENCE along said South right-of-way line for the
North line hereof, N 72° 23' 20" E, 100.00 feet to
a point being the Northwest corner of Lot 42 of
said Southern Terrace, Revised, for the Northeast
corner hereof;
THENCE along the East line hereof, S 19° 54' E,
10.83 feet to a point for the Southeast corner
hereof;
THENCE along the South line hereof, S 72° 12' W,
100.00 feet to a point in said East right-of-way
line, for the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE along said East right-of-way line, for the
West line hereof, N 19° 54' W, 11.16 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract of
land containing 0.0252 acres (1099 square feet) of
land more or less.
Tract Two:
FIELD NOTES describing a 0.0203 acre parcel or
tract of land being a portion of Lot 7, Block B,
Cushing Park as shown on a Plat of Record in
Cabinet C, Slide 197 of the Plat Records of William-
son County, Texas, conveyed to Albert W. Stocker,
et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 718, Page 564 of
the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and
being more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the existing North right-
of-way line of Gattis School Road at the Southwest
corner of Lot 8 of said Cushing Park, being the
Southeast corner of said Lot 7, for the Southeast
corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of the hereinafter
described 0.0203 acre tract;
THENCE along said North right-of-way line for the
South line hereof the following two (2) courses:
1) S 72° 22' W, 80.22 feet to a point for a Point
of Curvature hereof;
2) along the arc of a curve to the right having
elements of delta = 108° 26', radius = 25.00 feet,
arc = 47.31 feet, tangent = 34.68 feet, chord
bearing and chord = N 53° 25' W, 40.56 feet to a
point in the East right-of-way line of Cushing
Street, for a Point of Tangency and the most
Northerly corner hereof;
THENCE along the North line hereof, the following
two (2) courses:
1) along the arc of a curve to the left having
elements of delta = 108° 36', radius = 18.40 feet,
arc = 34.88 feet, tangent = 25.61 feet, chord
bearing and chord = S 53° 30' E, 29.89 feet to a
point for a Point of Tangency hereof;
2) N 72° 12' E, 89.40 feet to a point for the
Northeast corner hereof;
THENCE along the East line of said Lot 7, for the
East line hereof; S 00° 48' W, 9.43 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract of
land containing 0.0203 acres (883 square feet) of
land more or less.

tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.
