AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4, CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, PERTAINING TO
THE REGULATION OF WRECKERS; MAKING ROTATION LIST
APPLICABLE TO IMPOUND HAULS AS WELL AS COLLISION
HAULS; PROVIDING MAXIMUM FEES FOR IMPOUND HAULS;
AMENDING GROUNDS FOR SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF A
PERMIT; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS
I.
That Chapter 4.G., Code of Ordinances, City of Round
Rock, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows:
G. Rotation List Established.
The Chief of Police shall establish and maintain a
wrecker rotation list, from which list wreckers
shall be picked to answer both collision and im-
pound calls. Each permit holder who meets the quali-
fications herein shall be entitled to one (1) place
on said list. The names of the permit holders on
the list shall be listed in alphabetical order.
II .
That Chapter 4.I.5., Code of Ordinances, City of Round
Rock, Texas shall be amended to read as follows:
(5) The following maximum fees may be charged by
permit holders under this section for the use
of the class of wrecker designated. No addition-
al charges may be made. These maximum fees
shall also apply to hauls when the request is
made through the police communications center
to have a vehicle towed from the scene of a
collision.
Collision haul $40.00
Impound haul 30.00
Releasing car during anytime other
than regular business hours. . . . 10.00
III.
That Chapter 4.0.7., Code of Ordinances, City of Round
Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
(7) Grounds for suspension or revocation of a per-
mit includes any conduct in the wrecker busi-
ness which endangers the life or safety of any
person; repeated violations of the provisions
of this article; repeated unjustifiable failure
to respond with the proper time when called by
the police communication center; violation of
the zoning ordinance or fire prevention code
for one week after notice of said violation has
been given to said wrecker business by the
director of building inspection department or
the fire marshal, respectively, failure to main-
tain in effect any insurance required by this
article, and fraud or theft in the conduct of
the wrecker business.
IV.
The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
