ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF QUICK
ROAD BE VACATED AND ABANDONED; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVISION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS
I.
That those portions of Quick Road as more fully described
in Exhibit A attached hereto be and the same is hereby aban-
doned and permanently vacated as a street or public thorough-
fare of any kind or character whatever.
II.
That the fee to the land in the above described portions
of said street is hereby released and will revert to the
adjacent
owners as provided by law, save and except that
easements are reserved for existing utilities, if any.
III.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed

FIELD NOTES FOR TOM NELSON - 16' LANE (QUICK ROAD)
Field Notes describing a X0.195 acre tract or parcel of land
out of the J. M. Harrell Survey, Abstract No. 284, situated
in Williamson County, Texas, said tract being a lane lying
between the B. G. Barber Estate and a five acre tract convey-
ed to Eli Garza found of record in Volume 587, Page 478 of
the Deed Records of said County;
BEGINNING at an iron pin found at the Northwest corner of
said Garza Tract for the Southwest corner hereof, being in
the East margin of a County Road known as Chisholm Trail;
THENCE N14°23'W, 16.51 feet along said East margin to an iron
pin found at the Southwest corner of said Barber tract, being
described as Forth Tract in a deed recorded in Volume 387,
Page 169 of said Deed Records, said corner being the North-
west corner hereof;
THENCE N71°35' 30" E, 437.78 feet to an iron pin set for the
Northeast corner hereof, being at the intersection point of a
fence line projection of the South line of said Barber tract
and the West line of a 1.221 acre tract conveyed to E. D.
Quick found of record in Volume 554, Page 355 of said Deed
Records, said corner being in the West line of the Walter
Elam Tract found of record in Volume 337, Page 102 of said
Deed Records;
THENCE S17°50'10"E, passing the Southwest corner of said Elam
tract at 6.82 feet, a total distance of 22.22 feet to an iron
pin found at the Northeast corner of said Garza five acre
tract for the Southeast corner hereof;
THENCE S72°20' 35"W, 438.75 feet along the North line of said
Garza tract to the Point of Beginning of this described tract
containing 0.195 acres of land more or less.

hereby certify that these field notes accurately represent
the results of an on the ground survey made under my direc-
tion and supervision on the ilth day of December, 1979. All
corners located are as shown. There are no encroachments,

(
WHEREAS, the city of Round Rock, Texas, is considering the matter of closing
and abandoning as a public street that portion of a lane sometimes known as "Quick
Road" lying between the South boundary line of the B.G. Barber estate and a five acre
tract conveyed to Eli Garza found of record in Vol. 587, page 478 of the Deed Records
of Williamson County, a description of such lane being attached as Appendix A hereto,
and has given due notice to the property owners whose property abuts on said area of
same lane; and,
WHEREAS, it will be to the advantage of the property owners whose property
abuts said portion of said lane being considered for abandonment and to the advantage
of the public generally to abandon said portion of same lane;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of benefits to be received by the undersigned
and the general public, which are hereby acknowledged, the undersigned, being of lawful
age, do hereby fully and forever release, acquit and discharge the said City, its offi-
cers, successors asnd assigns, from any and all actions, causes of action, claims and
demands of whatsoever kind or nature on account of the abandonment and closing of
said portion of said lane above mentioned.
It is expressly understood and agreed that this release is intended as an agreement
to the said closing of said portion of said lane and is intended to cover and does cover
all damages, losses and injuries now known or which may become known in the future,
including all the effects and consequences thereof.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF we have hereunto set our hands this the 27th day of Febru-
ary, 1980.
