O-79-710 - 8/23/1979ORDINANCE NO. 1/0 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10,' SECTION 4.C. OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: THAT, Chapter 10, Section 4.C, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: I. C. GARBAGE COLLECTION 1. Residential. A sanitation charge for the collection of refuse shall be made for each occupied residence within the City of Round Rock, whether or not any refuse is deposited for collection from such occupied residence during any month. For multiple housing units, up to and including 5 units the sanitation charge shall be applied for each dwelling unit, regardless of the number of water meters. The residential sanitation charge shall be $5.00 per month. 2. Commercial. A sanitation charge for the collection of refuse from all business, commercial, retail, industrial and manufacturing establishments shall be made when such collection service is provided by the city. The charge shall include furnishing containers for refuse. Multiple housing units having more than 5 housing units shall be considered commercial customers. The sanitation charge for commercial refuse collection from containers provided by the city shall be $28.00 per month for each three (3) cubic yards container plus $8.00 per month for each collection per week in excess of three. 3. Application. The above sanitation charge shall apply to all customers located within the corporate limits of the city. All customers located outside the corporate limits shall pay double the rates set forth above. Persons outside the corporate limits of the city may be served only with the approval of the City Manager. 4. Ut:iltty, charge Sanitation charges shall he considered as utility charges. Failure to pay such charges as set forth herein shall he cause for disconnection of all city utilities from the delinquent premises. II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordi- nance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. READ and APPROVED on first reading this the day of 1979.
