O-79-702 - 5/24/1979ORDINANCE NO, 70„t AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 1.A. TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE 1977 AND 1978 REVI- SIONS TO THE 1976 EDITION OF THE STANDARD BUILDING CODE. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Round Rock to adopt, in all respects, the Standard Building Code, and WHEREAS, the 1976 Edition of the Standard Building Code has been revised in 1977 and 1978, and WHEREAS, the adoption of said revision is done to facilitate proper inspection activities by the City of Round Rock, relating to construction and to maintenance of buildings within the corpor- ate limits of said City, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That Chapter 3, Section 1.A. of the Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows; A. STANDARD BUILDING CODE AS REVISED ADOPTED The Standard Building Code, 1976 Edition, along with the 1977 and 1978 Revisions, one (1) copy of which shall be on file with the City Secretary of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby adopted by reference and all regu- lations, parts, notations, references, and specifications therein are hereby adopted and made a part of this Section except as deleted or amended hereafter. The said Code is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this Section shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be con- trolling in the construction of all buildings and structures therein contained within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
