AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 1.944 ACRES OF LAND (THE TOM E.
NELSON TRACT) OUT OF THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY IN WILLIAMSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BELOW, BY THE
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
Section 1. On the , day of June, 1978, at . & o'clock p.m.
in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Round Rock, Texas, the City
Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to
appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock,
Texas, of the following described property, to -wit:
FIELD NOTES describing a 1.944 acre tract or parcel of land
out of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract No. 288, situated in
Williamson County, Texas, being all of that same tract conveyed
to Tom E. Nelson, Trustee, described in a Deed of Trust recorded
in Volume 164, Page 541 of the Deed Records of said County;
BEGINNING at an iron pipe found at the Northwest corner of
said Nelson tract being in the East R.O.W. line of Interstate
Highway No. 35;
THENCE N70° 43'30"E., 263.69 feet to an iron pipe found at the
Northeast corner of said Nelson tract;
THENCE S.19°00'E., 40.26 feet to an iron pin found and S.19°
45'50"E., 267.72 feet to an iron pipe found at the Southeast
corner of said Nelson Tract, being in the North R.O.W. line
of U.S. Highway No. 79;
THENCE S.70°57'30"W., 235.04 feet along said R.O.W. line to an
iron pipe found at the Southwest corner of said Nelson Tract;
THENCE N.56°421W., 100.28 feet to an iron pin set by the
remains of a concrete highway monument in said East R.O.W. of
Interstate Highway No. 35;
THENCE N.11°42'W., 229.15 feet along said East R.O.W. to the
Point of BEGINNING of this described tract containing 1.944
acres of land more or less.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized
and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the
above described territory, not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10)
days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the
Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970 a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes.

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all
the Council members present, the requirement of reading this ordinance on two
separate days was dispensed with.
